Beginners YOga COurse

The 5 week Beginner's course is extremely valuable and highly recommended for the absolute beginner to the experienced yogi who wants to revisit basics or those who just want to relax and unwind.

Each class holds a particular focus over a rolling five-week program. Throughout the durations of the course, you will be introduced to all the main principles and techniques you’ll need to ensure a safe, healthy and holistic yoga practice.

In this five-week course, you will learn:

  • Core strength techniques to stabilise and mobilise your body through various type of yoga asanas (standing poses, balancing poses, back bends, seated poses, forward bends and twists)
  • Essential breathing practices (pranayama) deep relaxation, meditation and some basic yoga philosophy.
  • Deep Core Flow Principles with foundational yoga postures and breath work to create whole body stability, mobility, mental calmness and clarity.

Discover ways to modify your practice to suit your individual requirements, experience the joy of movement, whilst cultivating a strong foundation aimed at setting you up for greater ease in mind and body.

If you have chronic pain, injuires or musculoskeletal issues that limit movement it is recommended you begin with the Yoga RX Course. (see below)

This course is designed to be repeated as many times as you like. Upon completion of this course you are welcome to continue as a drop in or pass holder.

YOGA RX

 Yoga Therapy Course

with Hollie Swanton 

YOGA RX is a therapeutic approach to  yoga and movement designed  to mobilise and strengthen your body to develop optimal alignment and support pain free movement. YOGA RX  is perfect for the individual who is in chronic pain, has musculoskeletal issues, or is experiencing reduced daily function. 
This course is also good for seniors who need to move gently and slowly under expert guidance. Your facilitator Hollie Swanton has 12 years experience as an occupational therapist & weaves yoga principles with the latest clinical rehabilitation techniques to address the physical, functional, enviromental & psychological needs to support healthy movement & increase overall wellness.   
Classes are at a therapy level (pre-beginners), aimed at creating structural mobility and stability, increased awareness and ease in body and mind.
YOGA RX is for you if need to start slowly and gently.

In this course you will:

  • Develop mobility and stability through your spine and all major joints.
  • Build overall strength including core strength.
  • Get confident in moving your body.
  • Take home skills to improve your function in day-to-day life.
  • Learn mindfulness and breathing techniques for a greater sense of calm, happiness and positivity.

INtroduction to Mindfulness 

with Han Wee Tan

This course with Han Wee Tan is for anyone wishing to bring a greater sense of balance and meaning to their lives as well as those who are dealing with stress of any kind. 

In recent years research in neuroscience has made compelling discoveries about the brain’s capacity to grow and change, including evidence that meditation helps to create new pathways in the brain that increase our ability to be more positive and creative. 

Join us for a 5 week training course to help you introduce more mindfulness into your life through a blend of Yoga philosophy and practices to reduce stress and anxiety, face challenges efficiently, perform at your optimal levels and to be inspired.
