Beginners YOga COurse

The 5 week Beginner's course is extremely valuable and highly recommended for those who are new to yoga, recovering from injury or have not practiced for some time and simply wish to freshen up on the fundamentals of yoga.

Each class holds a particular focus over a rolling five-week program. Throughout the durations of the course, you will be introduced to all the main principles and techniques you’ll need to ensure a safe, healthy and holistic yoga practice.

In this five-week course, you will learn:

  • Core strength techniques to stabilise and mobilise your body through various type of yoga asanas (standing poses, balancing poses, back bends, seated poses, forward bends and twists)
  • Essential breathing practices (pranayama) deep relaxation, meditation and some basic yoga philosophy.
  • Deep Core Flow Principles with foundational yoga postures and breath work to create whole body stability, mobility, mental calmness and clarity.

Discover ways to modify your practice to suit your individual requirements, experience the joy of movement, whilst cultivating a strong foundation aimed at setting you up for greater ease in mind and body.

This course is designed to be repeated as many times as you like. Upon completion of this course you are welcome to continue as a drop in or pass holder.

YOGA RX

 Yoga Therapy Course

with Hollie Swanton and Jen Hamilton

YOGA RX is a therapeutic approach to  yoga and movement designed  to mobilise and strengthen your body to develop optimal alignment and support pain free movement. YOGA RX  is perfect for the individual who is in chronic pain, recovering from a setback, or is experiencing reduced daily function. Yoga therapy principles are integrated with the latest clinical rehabilitation techniques to address the physical, functional and environmental needs to increase wellness. Classes are at a therapy level (pre-beginners), aimed at creating awareness and support so you may move through all of life with more ease, stability and pleasure. 

In this course you will:

  • Gain core strength

  • Develop mobility and stability through your spine and all major joints

  • Get confident in beginning to move your body again

  • Take home skills to improve your function in day-to-day life

  • Learn mindfulness and breathing techniques for a greater sense of calm, happiness and positivity

  • Enjoy a lighthearted, encouraging group environment

Yoga RX was created to address the needs of  those who are looking for an entry level introduction to yoga. Jen Hamilton (20 years Experienced Yoga Teacher/Trainer) and Hollie Swanton (12 years an Occupational Therapist/Yoga Teacher) noticed that some more general yoga classes were not suited for those experiencing chronic pain, musculoskeletal injuries or simply those who have a sedentary lifestyle. Yoga RX is for you if you need to start slowly and gently. With the guidance of highly experience facilitators you will get the tools to feel better in your body and your mind.

This 4 week course is designed to be repeated as many times as you like. Upon completion of this course you are welcome to continue as a drop in or pass holder.

INtroduction to Mindfulness 

with Han Wee Tan

This course with Han Wee Tan is for anyone wishing to bring a greater sense of balance and meaning to their lives as well as those who are dealing with stress of any kind. 

In recent years research in neuroscience has made compelling discoveries about the brain’s capacity to grow and change, including evidence that meditation helps to create new pathways in the brain that increase our ability to be more positive and creative. 

Join us for a 5 week training course to help you introduce more mindfulness into your life through a blend of Yoga philosophy and practices to reduce stress and anxiety, face challenges efficiently, perform at your optimal levels and to be inspired.
